This portable digital refractometer measures a wide range of RI (refractive index) values from 1000 to 3000. This reading range is much wider than that of a traditional refractometer, displaying the reading instantly and clearly on the digital LED display. It provides a fast, clean and accurate IR test without the need to use IR liquids as in the traditional system. It also has the ability to differentiate diamonds, moissanites and the like from diamonds such as Zircon, Yac and other transparent or translucent gemstones.
