5-pointed touch star for testing 9, 14, 18 and 22 karat silver and gold. It is made entirely of fine silver.
Each tip of the star is made up of a metal pickup with the corresponding for each karat. For example, the 18-karat pill would be equivalent to 750 grade gold.
To carry out this test it will be necessary in addition to the star, the use of a touchstone and the corresponding testing acids.
